10,000 square feet. The Altus cancer center is located just across the street from Jackson County Memorial Hospital and opened it’s doors in September 2008. The center provides medical oncology, radiation therapy, outpatient chemotherapy and laboratory services. Onsite physicians (medical oncologists and radiation oncologists)as well as nurses, therapists and a staff trained in outpatient cancer care provide a multidisciplinary team approach. The equipment and facilities are state of the art.

The Altus Cancer Center provides both radiation therapy and chemotherapy in a healing and compassionate caring environment, here in Altus—and right here at home.

Following the patient’s diagnosis, and the development of a treatment plan, our experienced chemotherapy nurses and radiation therapists will provide treatment according to the directions of the patient’s physician.

Our new state-of-the-art linear accelerator that incorporates CT scanning for precise positioning of the radiation beam for better treatment location with less damage to surrounding tissues and chemotherapy rooms are available so that patients may rest comfortably while receiving treatments.

Lawton

The Leah M. Fitch Cancer Center of Southwest Oklahoma is a 23,000 square foot facility located on the south east corner of the Comanche County Memorial Hospital campus and opened its doors to patient s in January 2010. This center offers Medical Oncology and Radiation Oncology services as well as Hematology treatment for blood disorders with a full service Laboratory on site.

Following the patient’s diagnosis and the development of a treatment plan by our Board Certified Physicians treatment will begin by licensed and certified chemotherapy nurses and radiation therapists.

A Nurse Navigator is available to assist patients in their journey through the cancer care system.

IMRT, IGRT, Stereotactic Radiation Treatments, CT planning and on-site Physics and Dosimetry services are available in the Lawton cancer center.

Each new patient, upon referral, is screened for appropriate clinical trial availability. Patients that meet the criteria for an available clinical trial are counseled and offered the opportunity to participate by one of our research nurses.

Genetic testing is available via Tele-medicine through our partnership with the OU Health Science Center and Dr. John Mulvihill.

Complimentary transportation is available to and from any Cancer Center of Southwest Oklahoma location upon request.

Duncan

The Taylor Le Norman / McCasland Cancer Center is a 10,000 square foot facility located on the southeast corner of Duncan Regional Hospital’s campus and opened its doors to patients in October 2008. The center offers both radiation therapy and chemotherapy and is equipped with a linear accelerator to deliver the precise levels of radiation necessary for each patient’s treatment plan. Outpatient laboratory services available.

All treatments will be administered under the watchful eye of an oncologist. The facility staff also includes highly trained chemotherapy nurses and radiation therapists.

Following the patient’s diagnosis and the development of a treatment plan, our experienced chemotherapy nurses and radiation therapists provide treatment according to the directions of the patient’s physician.
